Have you ever heard the old saying, "What goes around, comes around"?

Well all I can say is I CAN NOT WAIT until tomorrow.

That is all I can say right now and one day when everything is finally over, I will be able to share with you all what we have been going through the past few months. But for now, I am leaving it on God's hands and I know He will take care of everything.

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend! We have a soccer game in the morning and the weather is supposed to be cool.

Happy Fall Yall!

Soccer scoring 4 points in 4 days

Soccer season started last month and this is the 1st year Houston has been anxious to play. He has been looking forward to it and has so many "old friends" on his team. This is his 3rd year to play and if you know him, you know, he was very shy the 1st year. (cried every game) but we wouldn't let him quit. The next year, he warmed up, but was knocked down by a bigger kid, the 1st practice and was so scared to get near the ball. This year he is at it! The child is aggressive and after the ball ALL the time.
He had his 1st game Saturday and scored 2 goals and blocked 3(when he played goalie). My friend Ashley thinks he scored 3, but we thought 2. Oh well. Anyway, we told him he gets $5 per goal, so of course after he scores, he says"I get $5!" He is so funny! They tied on the first game against the other team on Saturday. Our goalie was having a hard time in the beginning and the final score was 6 to 6.
Tonight he had another game and we won 4 to 0. Houston scored 2 goals and his friend Wyatt scored 2. He blocked a couple too.

Do you see a happy child here or what?

Throwing it back after a block

SCORE

I am so proud of him this year and so happy he is doing so well. I didn't think he was ever going to come out of his shell. lol

WILW

My love!

My Heart!

A nice afternoon horseback ride with the boys (we were taking a break)

*My Grant I won! I wrote a grant for the FCEA and won. It is a science grant valued at $250 and I am so excited. I won another grant I wrote 2 years ago too and have got good use out of it! Dr. Harris also came out from the board office and took grant winner pictures this week.

*The "good news" I got earlier this week. Life can be so stressful sometimes.

*Some of the fabulous recipes I have been trying off Pinterest this week. An amazing one was a crockpot deal~ Add chicken breasts, rotel, corn and cream cheese. Serve on a tortilla or dip with chips. It was so delish! Can't wait to try a few more on the top of my list!

Hope everyone has a good week. It has been kinda hectic lately and will probably stay that way for a while. On top of that I am trying to make sure I read everyone's blogs that I follow (only 350 blogs) and stay on top of my Pinterest obsession. What will they come up with next to entertain us? lol

Biking and Showing

This weekend was the most relaxed weekend I have had in a long time! Yesterday Houston and I rode bikes to my mom and dad's house, then went to my granny and pop's house to visit. It was so much fun spending the day biking with my boy. The weather was around 70 degrees and there was little to no traffic on our back roads. It was a total of 6 1/2 miles to their house and we made it there, then about 2 miles back to our house and my aunt drove by, loaded up our bikes and took us home. I was so glad to see her, not for me needing a ride, but for poor Houston. He was physically exhausted and I wasn't sure if he would make it back home. Usually when we bike, we ride only about 3 to 4 miles. He had ridden almost 9 and was wanting to take breaks every minute. Thank God for Debbie coming and getting us!
We rested for a bit and went to the barn to saddle up our horses and get them ready for the horse show. Houston rode a bit around the pasture, then we showered and left for the show. I was a little disappointed in our horses performance, we usually bring home better ribbons. My horse went out there and neighed the entire time. I was so embarrassed. She is so close to Houston's pony and they act like they can't even be separated. We did team up and do the Fun Class together and boy was it fun. Houston stood on the barrel and I ran my horse to the barrel and picked him up and ran back. We got 3rd place, but the best part was Houston saying, "Can we do it again?" "I loved that mommy!"
Today was also great! I am really enjoying thsi cooler weather with NO HUMIDITY and the fall weather coming in. We watched leaves fall from the trees today. Love this time of year! Football, bonfires , cooler temps and firepits!

Do yall remember these?

We went to the Delta Fair in Memphis last weekend. While we were there, my friend Stephanie pointed out this lady and her ruffled socks. I remember wearing those when I was a little girl. But the thing that I noticed that really brought back memories were the spandex leggings with wild designs. I so remember wearing those when I was 12 years old and thinking I was the coolest kid ever. Did any of you ever wear those retro looking spandex?

Labor Day Camping!

We took Houston camping at Chickasaw Sate Park for the first time on Labor Day weekend. It is about an hour drive from our house and we took the horses and our dog. We didn;t actually camp in tents. We slept in the living quarters area of the horse trailor which has a Queen size bed.
We met up with my sister, brother in law and our friends drove up for one night to visit. The weather was great and the trip was so much fun! We made so many great memories.

Here is Hou Boo so excited and ready to go!

Ut OH! We had a blowout on the trailer about 15 minutes from the campground
See... :(

Tim had us back on the road in 10 minutes though :)

As soon as we got there, we hit the trails

We had a ball hanging with these crazy folks!

Here is my family!

Relaxing after a hot ride

Houston definitely put some miles on his John Deere bike

Even after 9 pm, they were racking up the miles

The next day we were at it again. The trails had changed since i was a kid. They were washed out and steep in some areas. Tim's horse even fell going up one of the hills. Luckily, he was so not hurt and just got back on her.

Going DOWN

Finally Back at Camp

Even Chloe was TIRED

Check out these two on the trip back home

EEKKKK!!

Check out this spider that Tim killed in his barn Sunday. We were unsaddling the horse and I spotted that thing from across the barn. He was HUGE!!! But thank goodness Tim took care of him!

He Made My Day!

Friday when I opened my lunchbox, I found the sweetest note from my 6 year old son. He just melts my heart. I usually write him happy notes for his lunch box when he takes his lunch to school, but he found where my notes are and decided to write me one to surprise me!

So sweet!

Quickie

I took this picture of the sky last month while hanging at the pool. How amazing is our God?
This will be a quickie, as we are headed out the door to Houston's first soccer practice of the season. I can't wait to meet up with friends we haven't seen in a few months! Have a great evening!

WILW

I have just realized that I never finished blogging about our Gulf Shores trip back in August. I have been a terrible blogger lately due to school, personal things, traveling and the holiday, but tonight I had a few minutes to spare and wanted to "catch you up". I am going to kinda make this a "What I'm Loving Wednesday" post, because these things I dearly am loving right now.

Most of all I am loving my family. No matter what, everyone is going to have their ups and downfalls, but with the help from God, I know He will pull us through. Words can't express how I have felt lately, but I know my God has an awesome plan for me and my family!

Back to the beach post, which I am loving and wishing I was there right now.

I am LOVING:
