Hump Day

I have had a busy week this week. Next week teachers go back to school and I am NOT ready! I have gotten spoilt this summer sleeping in and running around. I have been trying to get back in a routine this week and have done pretty good. This morning I woke up at 6:45 and read my Bible and had my quiet time with the Lord, cooked Houston breakfast, picked up around the house and now I am getting ready to go shopping with mom for Houston's birthday. He will be 4 on Monday August 3rd. It is so hard to believe how fast they grow up:( Anyway, I dropped my car off yesterday to get a new bumper since some lady backed into me at a red light with her trailer hitch last week. We met Monday and she gave me cash, yesterday I took it to the shop and I get to pick it up this afternoon. Yesterday I also helped Katie in her classroom for a few hours, then we went to lunch and hung out. Last night I tried Jazzercise with her and it was really fun. I thought it was gonna be alot of bouncing around, but I really enjoyed it! Katie is actually working on getting certified to teach it so maybe one day I will have the motivation to join. I want to go, but don't want to drive all the way to Collierville after working all day. Anyway, Houston got some really great birthday presents at his party last Saturday and today, one cool present we have been playing with is his hot wheels race track from his girlfriend Becca. He talks about her all the time but acts shy when he sees her. This track is awesome yall. It does not take batteries which is even better. It has 2 tracks to race, you just pull each gear back and they go a lap around the track. So much fun, even adults would love it. I am just sad they didn't have all these neat toys when we were little. Well, I am gonna get ready, my mom will be here in a few. Haapy Hump Day to everyone! Oh yea, it is Houston's best friend Cayden's Birthday today. Happy 4th Birthday Cayden!

Party Time

Today was Houston's 4th Birthday party. We had it in Collierville at the Spray Park and we had 18 kids show up. It was so much fun. We got to spend time with alot of people that don't see often. It was kind of hard keeping up with all the kids because there were 4 different parties going on, but we were lucky enough to have 4 tables and the pavillion to ourselves. Houston had a great time and got some awesome stuff. Next Saturday he is having another party at our house but it will be more family and friends. Hope everyone is having an excellent weekend.

Not a good day

Today was horrible. I went to Kids Town Consignment sale at the Agricenter and stood in line to check out for 2 hours. Then went to Chick-Fil-A to get Houston lunch and some idiot backed into me. O yeah. We were at the red light and she decided she did not want to wait. So she backed up without looking and hit my front bumper with her trailer hitch and tore my bumper up. I was so mad, I couldn't find my phone and she exchanged info with me but did not want to call the cops. Now I have gone to get estimates and she wants to use the cheaper one that wants to PATCH the bumper. NO! I refuse to have my bumper jacked up. UGH! Well I needed to vent.

We did go to the Redbirds game last night and have the BEST time ever as a family. The weather was great and they actually won too. Here is a pic from last night of the fam.

spinning

Last night I went to DAC with a friend and worked out, then did the SPIN class for 1 hour! Needless to say I am hurting today. Um, yea, I am so out of shape, but you got to understand spinning with the resistance at an 8 out of 10 and standing and pedaling at high speeds can be painful. I think my bottom was too big for the seat cause today, I haven't gotten out of bed yet. It was so cool though. The room was dark with glow in the dark paint on the walls and iridescent colors. The beat of the music was fast so I think I tried to do too much on my first night. John told me I can't quit though, I got to try it at least two more times. I may shoot for next week, there is no way I can be ready by tomorrow. Luckily, my mom kept Houston last night, so today I am taking it easy before I have to go get him. Gosh, we only have a week and a half before it is back to school. I can't hardly believe it. Time flies when you are off work. Hope everyone has a Happy Hump Day.

lazy day

This weekend was a lazy one. Saturday we went to Houston's horse show and he got a 4th place ribbon. YAY! There was 8 kids in the class and he got 4th. Pretty good considering all the adorable competition he was up against. Anyway, I was proud. Today we went to church and came home to enjoy the beautiful weatehr outside. It has been 78-82 degrees all weekend and it is FABULOUS. Houston made my heart melt this afternoon. We were talking about his birthday coming up and how big he is getting. I told him,"I don't want you to get big Houston" He looked at me and said,"mommy, don't worry I will keep you forever". Gosh I am so in love with that little man!

Preschool

Ok, so today I got Houston's letter saying he is accepted into Pre-Kindergarten at Central! Whoo Hoo! He is so excited. Happy to be with Cayden and happy to meet new friends. Thank you Lord Jesus! Like I said we are so BLESSED.

A Day with Mom

Yesterday Houston and I spent the day with my mom. It was great! Houston had spent the night with her so I picked them up and we headed to The Pink Palace museum in Memphis. Well as soon as we got there, mom decided we needed to go to the Imax and see the Under the Sea movie. It was amazing. It was filmed at the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. God is AWESOME! All the beautiful and unusual creatures He has made were incredible. When I think of oceans, I think of fish and sharks. The animals and creatures that were in this film were undescribable. I just don't know how some people say they don't believe in God, because every living thing is truly a miracle. Well, then we went to tour the museum part. This was not very interesting for Houston. He is only 3 and he could care less. He ran from exhibit to exhibit without even looking. He was just excited to be running around. Once we got to the new movable dinosaur exhibit, he was so excited. He loved it! After the dinosaurs we left and went to Incredible Pizza. We ate then played games for about an hour. Next we dropped mom off and headed home. As soon as we got home, we got in the pool and didn't get out until 8:00 p.m. It was so nice to spend time with the family. We are so blessed. God is so good. We went to bed early after an exhausting day. I woke up this morning to find that our above ground pool had collapsed due to all the excessive rains last night. So now we have to reset it and refill when the storm calms down. Wish me luck! Well, I am going to get off and do Houston's little Bible lesson we do each morning together. We use the Veggie Tales Bible Storybook. It is so easy to understand and he loves it. He always asks questions and even talks about our lesson throughout the day. I am so proud of him. I hope and pray he grows up to be a godly man one day. Happy Thursday!

Today was "Freddie Day"! yay

So today was the day Houston has been looking forward to, it was Mrs. Freddie day! She is his Sunday School teacher from church and her husband's job is being transferred to Cleveland in September so we went on a lunch date with her to TJI Fridays and then to WolfChase to ride the carousel, train and make a quick trip to Build a Bear. He loves her so much and I really don't know how he will do when she really leaves. He knows she is leaving but doesn't understand the time frame. When she is not able to be at church, she calls us to let us know because he will make himself sick worrying about who is going to keep him. Anyway we had so much fun spending the day with her but I am exhausted now and am in need of a nap. I really wanted to go to Spin Class at Dac tonight but think I may pass. Yesterday I did absolutely nothing! Last night we went to Granny and Pops and they got a new Tahoe! What the heck! They are too old for a Tahoe. That is what I wanted, just don't want to pay for the high gas it uses. It is super nice, fully loaded with the 3rd row seat. Anyway, we helped them figure out all the buttons and controls on it then went in to eat watermelon. YUMMY! Pop has a whole trailer load of watermelons. He sells them at the corner in Piperton and they are soo sweet. I love me some watermelon on a hot summer night. Anyway, I am going to check email and get off here. Oh yea, my friend Melissa set up this blog for me last week and I didn't know if I would be able to keep it up, but I think it is going to be okay. Thanks again Melissa. I know I need to add some more "flair" to my page. I will, just got to get to a "non-dial-up" computer. Yes, I still have dial-up and you can't load pics with dial-up! Well, i was telling my friend Katie this morning about my blog and she decided to create one too. I just got off the phone with her and hers is ready. Go find her at klchrostowski@blogspot.com.

wonderful weekend

Today we went to a BBQ at the Billings house. They are friends of the family and we go every year. It was so much fun. Houston ran around with all the kids and his bestie Cayden playing with water guns and he ended up going home soaking wet! Oh well, he rode in the back of the truck because it was just 3 miles down the road. He really loved that too. Tonight we went to the Memphis zoo. It was members night. We have been members for 2 years but never been to a vip party. It was so much fun! They had access to all rides and trains, a DJ with great music and the pool. Houston rode all the rides, it was cool weather, they had animals out for you to see and he swam in the fountain. I took some really cute pics but right now I am unable to load them due to my slow computer! ugh! That is why I have the zoo pic of him and I from last week. Sorry. We LOVE the zoo! Can you tell? Anyway, we rode the tram and learned from a tour guide that Asali, the African elephant is back on display. They put her out yesterday to reunite her with their matriarch Tido? She looked happy. When we saw her, she was actually swinging poop all over her. YES, it was gross but she seemed playful. They say she took the death of the baby hard. Actually, I did not know that the baby was pierced in the lung and that the zoo workers did not rush to her immediately to save the baby because Asali was freaking out and running to the corners of the exhibit. They thought she would charge at the staff, so they had to wait and by the time they took her to the hospital site, it was too late. She had lost too much blood. Anyway, I was so happy to see the momma back out tonight. I will post some pics of the fun night later. Hope yall have the best weekend!

Busy Day

We went to the Sunset on the Square last night to see the Wolf River Rednecks and they were incredible! We had a picnic on the square and I drank too much Dr Pepper so I ended up staying up until 2 am. UGH! So I decided to clean or should I say begin to clean out closets. Well, today after 4 1/2 hours, I completed my task of organizing all closets and drawers. My gosh, I have about 3 garbage bags of trash to throw away and one giant bag to take to Goodwill. I feel so much better knowing everything is clean now. Well, I am headed to Collierville to watch a friends kids for a couple hours. Have a great night!

Super excited!

So, I am so excited! I finally have a blog! Thank you so much for your help Melissa!!!
