Ok, so I am not a blog quitter, but it seems like I am always super busy. Now that I am on Christmas break for two weeks, I have no excuse, right? lol My break started out kinda rough, but praise God, it is better now. Houston has had croup and then he got a high fever. He has slept for the past 2 days and finally started moving around this afternoon. It is so scary when your little one is sick. I went to lunch with my friend Melissa yesterday since we had a half day at school and we were talking about Houston getting a puppy for Christmas. Tim and I have not had any luck finding one, but I guess you can say God works in mysterious ways. I left Melissa's house, (which by the way, she has teh best Christmas decor) and was on the way home when I saw a darling puppy running down the road. I rounded the corner and stopped. He was looking at me with those sad eyes and he was all alone. I got out and picked him up and asked the neighbors if anyone had gotten a new puppy. They said no, but had heard some commotion down at the bridge the night before. People are bad about dumping animals off on our road. So of course, who do you think ended up wanting to keep this baby? ME! I talked to Tim and since Houston was sick with a fever and croup we decided to give it to him to cheer him up. He was feeling so bad, he held him and they slept all afternoon. This baby is so precious and seems to be a good natured puppy. Anyway, today Houston stayed in bed all day long again, but I got some cleaning done and I had a chance to be lazy with the new puppy. By the way, his name is Scooby. Houston loves Scooby Doo! I am so excited about Christmas this year but just not in the mood to shop. I have done little shopping and really don't care. I know I am terrible, right? lol Well before I close, I just have to tell you guys what Houston told me about Christmas this week. We were talking about Christmas being Jesus' Birthday. He knows that Jesus' home is Heaven and he knows that Jesus is in his heart. I was telling him that we will bake a cake and sing Happy Birthday to Jesus on Christmas morning, kinda like a birthday party. Houston got so excited and said, wow mommy, Jesus is coming down here? to my house? It was so precious. I am so proud of him and his relationship with the Lord. Praise God we are allowed to freely worship Him. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and remembers the true reason of why we celebrate CHRISTmas! Jesus is the Reason for the Season!
