Ok, so we survived Christmas, it was busy but we made it! We hung around the house on Christmas Eve until 5 pm when we had to go to my mom and dads to celebrate Christmas with my dad's family. Christmas Eve day, we set up our new flat screen TV and a lady came out and bought my changing table I posted on craigslist. Yay! It was just taking up space. We have been posting and selling things off craigslist all month and have done great! Tim has actually been cleaning out our woods and is selling cedar posts too. He has had quite a bit of business. The good thing is these people drive from far away to get some posts. One guy drove 4 hours out here, others are about an hour. God is so good, because selling all this stuff that has been in our barn has brought us some Christmas cash.
Christmas day we woke up and opened presents. Houston was so much fun this year. He was so shocked that santa left him a note and ate all his cookies. He said, momma,"Santa knows how to spell my name" So funny. Anyway, we headed to granny's for our annual christmas breakfast. Well, it usually starts at 730 and we showed up at 845 and guess what? Not one single homemade biscuit was left! UGH! I bet we get there on time next year. It is just hard with little kids, my cousin does her Christmas the day before so they don't have to rush on Christmas morning. We may try that next year. After that we went to Tim's parents house to open gifts then we went to his aunts house to eat lunch and open more presents. After lunch, we headed home to nap. That night my parents, Tim's parents and Holly and Steve came over to see Houston's loot. Our puppy Scooby is really growing. He has gained a little weight and is a mess. He is really good about going potty out, but has gotten to where he wants to play and chew on everything!
I did a little after Christmas shopping, the day after Christmas and found some deals. Alot of things were picked over, but I got some stuff when I was out returning some stuff that Santa brought duplicates of, yes, he has a bad memory and brought something twice. We also had to return the digital camera that was not very good. For 39.99 you would think it was a decent kids fisher price camera.
Lastly, I want to ask for prayers. A 19 year old girl was killed last night at hwy 195 and 193 in Williston. She was hit head on by a driver who ran the stop sign. She was trapped and unconscious and then she later passed away to go home to Jesus. She went to church with me and her twin sisters go to school where I teach. The mom is a great friend of the family and they work at the horse sale we go to every month. This girl was a great Christian and always smiling and happy. She volunteered at all the church events and even played the role of Mary in the church Christmas play this month. Please pray for God to give the family strength through this tragedy! Thanks and I hope everyone has a happy new year in 2010!
