I started off my weekend celebrating the TCAP festival at school with 5 or 6 inflatable moon bounces. They had rock climbing walls, slides, basketball hoops, obstacle course and tons of fun. The children also got snow cones and cotton candy for their hard efforts on the achievement test. The day was fun filled all the way around. The kids loved it and so did the teachers. Students went inside at 2 and Houston's teacher Jodi, Melissa and I went out to have a little fun until 2:30. We were going to all go down the slide for a candid pic, but as I climbed up, I heard the generator run out of gas. Next thing I knew, I had fallen on top of Melissa and Jodi was on me. I was trying with all my strength to get off of Melissa, but Jodi was on me and we were all laughing so hard, none of us could move and the walls were caving in on us. If you don't know it, I have Chlostophobia!!! I had cut my elbow and was thinking we are going to all suffocate out here and the moon bounce is going to smother us. To make matters worse, Melissa says ,"we gotta get out of here, this thing could get heavy" and Jodi is laying on me laughing her butt off. I almost threw up and I swear I think I was having an anxiety attack. I look back now and even after we finally got out, which seemed like forever and can laugh. It was a very memorable day! Thanks ladies for the entertainment. After that, we went a bounced on the spongebob moon bounce for a few, then it was time to shut them all down. I seriously have some of the best coworkers and friends. Oh yea, and some awesome kids too :)
This weekend was Houston's Field Trial skills test for Tball. His first game is next Saturday. He did good, got a little shy at first, but then he warmed up to Ms. Jacy. She is his coach's daughter and he adores her. She is so good with him when he gets all shy and stuff. I can not help, that boy is his father's child. He is just so shy and quiet until he gets to know you. He really did good though. All 3 teams were there and they assessed the children on how fast they could run bases, catching, and how far they could hit. Houston hit his ball 54 feet. I was voted TEAM MOM by his lovely coach, so I have been trying to get around and meet all the moms. I have met some wonderful people at practices and I look forward to him playing this season. His coach and family are wonderful. We have known the family for years, I mean, when I was a kid. They are very entertaining and had me laughing the entire trial Saturday.
We spent the weekend shopping, working in flowerbeds, riding the four wheeler and playing ball. It seems like the weather has gotten so nice and now I don't have much time for anything anymore due to the fact that we are busy or we are just outside enjoying the beautiful weather. Hope you all enjoy the week. We have some AWESOME weather coming up this week.
Friday was definitely hilarious! You'll have to come out at the preschool end of the year celebration and play with us!
