Breast Cancer Awareness Day

TWO POSTS IN ONE DAY...... yep, I am home and the boys are off so I am taking advantage. lol

Today at school, we painted the walls pink and everyone wore pink tops in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. My great grandmother died a few years ago of breast cancer and she will always have a special place in my heart. I heart you mamaw!!

We were supposed to have a healthy hound dog visit our school as a guest, but he was rescheduled for tomorrow. We had already assembled into the cafeteria, so our music teacher did a fabulous job having the students sing some of the songs they have already learned this year. He chose First grade and my class to go on stage and perform. My little shy Houston was not so sure about singing in front of the whole school, but it wasn't too long and he was smiling and not trying to hide behind his friends. They sang about 8 songs and did a fabulous job!

This was hilarious! After my class and 1st performed, 3rd grade went up to sing the cutest little country themed song. They even had a square dance to go with it. Me and Amy could not resist, we had to get our boot scootin moves going and have a little fun too.

Anyway, great job guys and Mr. Dacus! I enjoyed the entertainment today
