1. I just got done working out to some cheesy Denise Austin workout tape that is so 80's and I am about to die! SORE SORE SORE is all I have to say right now!
2. I am so proud of Houston for making Kindergarten Principal Club for the 3rd 6 weeks in a row with ALL MASTERY! He is growing up too fast!
3. I just got a new child in my class and I very much dislike getting students transferred in the middle of the year. UGH, I have to start teaching from the beginning all over it seems!
4. I am so proud of my students that were in reading intervention last fall! I had 11 struggling readers at the beginning of the year and after the Benchmark scores came back this week, I now only have ONE!!!!!!!! He has a late birthday, is the youngest one in the class, has really struggled and had a tough year at home. His family knows he will have to repeat, but he has shown signs of improvement.
5. Speaking of improvement! I have one baby in my class that has really excelled the past month! AHHH, I was soooo happy today when I began testing him for his report card for next 6 weeks and he knew ALMOST EVERYTHING! Wow, I had to call his mom right away to tell her how proud I was of him. I just wanted to brag on the lil man.
6. I am looking forward to tomorrow and my awesome parent volunteer to come assist me in my classroom . She comes EVERY week at least once if not twice a week to volunteer in my room for the day. She has had a busy week and will finally be coming tomorrow. YIPEEE!! Missed you Loretta!
7. Please pray~I have a few parents from last year that I got close to and they have had a hard time the past two weeks. One lost everything in a house fire a few days after Christmas. Praise the Lord they all got out safely and no one was hurt. Another came today to see me and bring me a ton of Christmas presents and she informed me that she had to have a DNC this week due to a miscarriage. I have another friend whose daugther was in my class last year too and she just called me tonight and told me her sister went to the ER today bleeding (she is 2 months pregnant) and she had a miscarriage. Heather was with her and witnessed everything. Please be in prayer for these friends of mine. They are really having a difficult time this year already.
